Wow I cannot believe it has been three months since my last posting to this website. First I guess I should apologize, Getting caught up in the real world of making a living with my full time job has taken it’s toll on my online foray into earning a living online. Well I am back and re-energized so to speak. My best friend and I have started a new Country Music Website geared towards Country Music Fans. It’s called CountryFanNetwork.com, and it truly is a labor of love. I am a huge Country Music fan and wanted to get back to covering the country music scene. I used to publish a Country Music Magazine called New England Country Magazine back in the early nineties and really enjoyed doing it but as is usual for country music in the northeast country music gains in popularity in economic downturns and then loses steam. The magazine barely made enough money to cover costs in the third year of publication, so we had to stop publishing.

I figured that setting up a country music site on the web would be cheap enough to do and to maintain that I could keep doing it even if it makes nothing. So occasionally I will be posting about the set-up and design of the site, thinking maybe some of you can benefit from the information we have and will learn as this site continues to evolve.

The first decision after picking the domain name and setting up hosting was what content management system we were going to use. At first I thought that I would use Joomla, but after a lot of thought and research decide that WordPress would be suited for this paricular website. The hardest part for me was picking a theme to work with, I eventually decide to go with the Options Theme. The Options Theme is a great theme to work with, but I am thinking about changing it up a little. I will keep you posted here.

Just had to post this video, especially with all the emails I have been getting the past couple of days regarding new launches. Since Monday I have received, no lie 374 emails announcing launches. Granted there were a couple of truly good products being launched, but the majority of them were junk. Anyway enjoy the video, I laughed so hard I think I woke the Office up.

Like I already don’t have enough to do, the guys over at Stompernet decided in their infinite wisdom to UPS me a preview package of their new SEO Video Course, “Stomping the Search Engines 2” plus a preview copy of their new journal called the “Net Effect”. I have been hearing about this for about a week now and was wondering if I was going to get a preview copy, mine finally came on Saturday.

Like I said I am very busy, you know with two jobs and working this internet marketing thing the last thing I needed was to get caught up in reading about SEO, but caught up is exactly what happened to me. I received the package at around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon and was up until about 2:00 a.m. the next morning. My wife was so pissed off she just rolled over and grunted when I finally came to bed.

First the Journal “The Net Effect” was filled with an amazing amount of content, I have received a couple of Web Magazines in the past but this is more than just a magazine, it truly is a journal. I am one of those people that likes to read the printed versions rather than reading on the web, I like to highlight things of interest or that I feel are important enough to remember for future use. The journal alone is worth the price of admission whatever that price is.

Second I received two DVD’s filled with an incredible amount of videos, the guys over at StomperNet ONLY put out the highest quality stuff. Not only is the content they provide
insanely good and innovative, but the way they do it is just as impressive. They don’t mess around with simple Camtasia videos, but rather spend thousands of dollars to create the highest quality content possible for their members. As of today I have still not gone through all of the informative videos on these two DVD’s.

I just love when the mighty fall, Governor Eliot Spitzer of New York has been accused of soliciting a high price call girl. Will this be cause for his resignation or will he ride it out and see where the wind blows. This reminds me of how messed up this world can really be, you think someone is straight laced or appears to be straight and narrow but they turn out to be hiding secrets that no one would want to know. You would think that the man has it all together, three beautiful children, a beautiful wife and one of the best jobs available in New York. This is the last thing New York needs now, I was originally from New York and often think back to the great times I had while living there, it truly is one of the greatest cities in the world, and as such deserves more than this Governor.
