Since Monday I have received, no lie 374 emails announcing launches. Granted there were a couple of truly good products being launched, but the majority of them were junk. Anyway enjoy the video, I laughed so hard I think I woke the Office up.

Like I already don’t have enough to do, the guys over at Stompernet decided in their infinite wisdom to UPS me a preview package of their new SEO Video Course, “Stomping the Search Engines 2” plus a preview copy of their new journal called the “Net Effect”. I have been hearing about this for about a week now and was wondering if I was going to get a preview copy, mine finally came on Saturday.

Like I said I am very busy, you know with two jobs and working this internet marketing thing the last thing I needed was to get caught up in reading about SEO, but caught up is exactly what happened to me. I received the package at around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon and was up until about 2:00 a.m. the next morning. My wife was so pissed off she just rolled over and grunted when I finally came to bed.

First the Journal “The Net Effect” was filled with an amazing amount of content, I have received a couple of Web Magazines in the past but this is more than just a magazine, it truly is a journal. I am one of those people that likes to read the printed versions rather than reading on the web, I like to highlight things of interest or that I feel are important enough to remember for future use. The journal alone is worth the price of admission whatever that price is.

Second I received two DVD’s filled with an incredible amount of videos, the guys over at StomperNet ONLY put out the highest quality stuff. Not only is the content they provide
insanely good and innovative, but the way they do it is just as impressive. They don’t mess around with simple Camtasia videos, but rather spend thousands of dollars to create the highest quality content possible for their members. As of today I have still not gone through all of the informative videos on these two DVD’s.

Here’s just a taste of the quality they put out… watch the video
here:

StompernetSE2

This new traffic generation course is supposed to cost $497, but
they’re doing something *crazy* to get exposure for their new
monthly print journal “[Tag-Tec]The Net Effect[/Tag-Tec]“. They didn’t want this to
just be another digital product download that you wouldn’t use, so
they’ve created a 2 dvd set that will be sent to you in the mail.

They’re going to send you a free copy of it straight to your front
doorstep… I told you these guys are high quality.

All you need to do is just TRY their new monthly printed Action
Journal called “The Net Effect” – and guess what?

You get the PREMIER issue of “The Net Effect” FREE too!

I told you this was an insane deal! You don’t pay one penny more
than shipping and handling unless you LOVE it and want to get issue
number 2 a month from now.

1. Wait for Offers. The normal way of getting inbound links. This method is the most ethical of the strategies. This methods banks on the fact that if the site has great content that is constantly fresh and interesting, with a navigation system that does not require rocket science, people will eat it up. Offers will come of their own volition. Then you get your links.

2. Play Musical Chairs. A devious way of getting inbound links using reciprocation with a twist. Reciprocation is the most common form of getting links which doesn’t hold much water with page ranking systems of search engines.

Normally search engines can detect reciprocal links, but if reciprocation is layered, i.e. indirect, it takes the engine much more work to detect it, requiring more complex algorithms. The price for doing this trick is steep, though. You have to have more than one website. Some people make a pretty penny putting up links one-way.

3. Apply for Inbound Links. Yes, it’s not a crime to promote your site. You can submit your site for review at people-run directories whose interests run into the subject matter of your site.

If the world wide web is the analogy of the earth, a directory can be best described as a town, where almost everybody knows each other. Any new arrival gets a thorough once-over and the whole town votes to see if you can get to stay.

4. Links for Sale. Some high-ranking sites are willing to sell their outbound links to the highest bidder. Sites that are popular with PageRank or other search engine ranking systems use this extra capacity for extra income sometimes.

However, the drawback to this is that the sites are only mercenary, selling their sites for rent. You have no link-equity other than the amount of cash you shell out to keep on existing on their site. Search engines such as Google are actively trying to dampen these efforts as it degrades the relevance of their search engine results.

5. Be Generous, Distribute Content. Of all the strategies stated, this is a highly effective method of getting better quality, legitimate one-way links. You give other websites a reason to put a link on their sites to point in your direction.

All sites are always looking for fresh content for their sites. A site cannot expect to stay number one in relevancy if they just keep on refreshing the content of their sites once every month. Most of the time these sites will even pay for fresh online content to a slew of writers. For a discounted offer, you can have a “about the author” link posted on the site with your own content. Be creative. The key is to make it mutually beneficial.

Ultimately, with a little patience, elbow grease, and luck. It pays to just be honest and stick with the stuff you like to talk about. You don’t regret eating up the time and you enjoy the process.

If you are like the many thousands of us out here trying to earn a living online, you no doubt have run into someone claiming to be a guru of some type of internet marketing method. The ultimate goal for all of us is to be able to leave the 9-5 rat race and live off of your online income. Truthfully most of us never make it to this lofty goal, many often barely cover the costs of Web Hosting, Web Design, Marketing E-books, PPC and advertising.

So who’s fault is it? is it the fault of the Guru you are presently trying to emulate or is it your fault for not doing exactly what they say to do. For 80% of us it most likely is our fault, we purchase the Guru’s products and hope that by reading the books that by osmosis or something the internet riches will rub off on us. I have been recently guilty of this myself, I get an emotional provoking email promoting some great new E-book that will show me the magic way. I get so wrapped up in the magic that this new product is going to produce for me, that I instantly get it, especially if it’s from one of my favorite Internet Marketing Guru’s. Then what happens, I read it then store it on my hard drive forgetting that it is even there.

There is a lot of great help and advice available to us new comers in the Internet Marketing Industry, that helps people like you and me who are trying to earn a living online. The fact is just do a search for Internet Marketing in Google and you will come up with ton’s of pages of Internet Marketing experts that will profess to be the expert in all the different fields of Internet Marketing such as:

…Product Creation
…List Building
…Pay Per Click
…Adsense
…Affiliate Marketing
…Web 2.0
…Traffic Building Just to name a few.

The Internet Marketing arena is so filled with supposed experts in their field that it becomes confusing for the newbie to know where to go. So you start following one, then another comes along with what sounds like a better idea than the last, then another comes around that promises to make you money while sleeping in the Bahamas and so on, and so on. You start lacking direction and end up all over the place and not focusing on what you are supposed to be focusing on which is to earn a living online.
So what do you do? — S L O W D O W N —-!! Pick one or two people that you can feel comfortable will lead you in the direction you are willing to follow. Preferably someone who is well rounded in all aspects of the internet marketing field or at least very knowledgeable in the areas that your are not. What are the things to look at when trying to find competent help in your new online venture? Do you like the Guru’s writing style, do you understand what they are saying and does it explain in your terms what and how to do what it is they are writing about? Has this Guru done what they are teaching about themselves or are they just promoting someone else’s product for the commission.

Now for the truth in advertising so to speak, “I DO GURU” I have about 10 Internet Marketing professionals that I follow and keep up to date with on a daily basis. Drum Roll Please……They are

Jack Humphrey

Brad Fallon

Willie Crawford

Eben Pagan

Joel Comm

Yanik Silver

Rich Schefren

Seth godin

Perry Marshall

Mike Filsaime

Now not to say this is who you should follow, these are the folks that I keep track of. You can rest assure that they have their fingers on the pulse of the internet and Internet Marketing. These are all successful Internet Marketers who are Earning a Living Online, which after all is my goal. On the right hand side of this blog please take a second and vote in my Guru Poll, and If you have another Guru that you follow please comment on it.
